Summer is behind us and at The Ricky Rubio Foundation we are ready to meet again on the slopes. This year will undoubtedly be marked by the new safety conditions that will allow us to resume activities without exposing ourselves to any risk.

The boys and girls who are part of the Community Team of Font de la Pólvora, in Girona, are already ready to start with the practices.

Community Team is the program of child and youth pedagogy based on reflective play. The idea is that children who live in low-income neighborhoods can enjoy an extracurricular activity. Through exercises, games and activities that are part of the training, the coaches are able to teach them small life lessons such as reinforcing their self-evaluation, facing moments of stress or tension, dealing with gender issues, knowing how it is key that their individuality is put at the service of the team, empathizing, always saying things clearly and with respect

This project is made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Diputació de Girona. The aim is to develop a type of non-formal education that makes them better in their social life, school and at home with their family context.

The entire team of The Ricky Rubio Foundation basically seeks to ensure that children end up making the best decisions for themselves, without being influenced by the conflictive environments in which they live.

Without neglecting the necessary precautions to continue fighting the COVID-19, the children will be able to attend training and meet again with their monitors and classmates so that, all together, they can continue learning from the values of Community Team.
