The Angel Foundation has been the entity chosen for the first edition of One Month One Cause of this 2021. For this reason, before the game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Phoenix Suns, Ricky Rubio will wear a pair of sneakers with a special inscription: “I play this game for The Angel Foundation”.

This non-profit organization, based in the Twin Cities, has been working for more than 20 years to help adult cancer patients and their families get through this time with stability, strength and resilience.

For this reason, The Ricky Rubio Foundation has selected them to support the great work they do and to collaborate in the visibility of the goals they pursue.

The Angel Foundation runs three programs:

• Emergency Financial Assistance provides grants to reduce their immediate financial concerns. Grants provide comfort and peace of mind during the overwhelming months of diagnosis and treatment.
• Financial Cancer Care is a free program that connects patients with Certified Financial Planners who will help guide long-term financial decisions, as well as connect them with additional support options and resources.
• Facing Cancer Together works alongside family members of adult cancer patients, providing free education, companionship and support to children, teens and young adults.
